About Planfix
An independent Australian IT consultancy built around vendor-neutral advice and outcomes that stick.
Our Story
For businesses that have outgrown the help-desk model.
Planfix® started with a simple observation: most growing Australian businesses don't need more IT vendors - they need someone in their corner who can read the contracts, ask the awkward questions and pick a direction.
Founded in 2016 and trading under ABN 83 612 596 291, Planfix has worked with Australian sole traders, SMBs, mid-market operators, not-for-profits and in-house IT teams. The mix matters - the playbook for a 12-person services firm isn't the same one we run for a 200-staff operator, so we shape the engagement, the deliverables and the cadence around the size, stage and budget of the business in front of us.
We've delivered CRM migrations, integration projects, custom software direction, support frameworks and senior-level fractional advisory. For the build side of that work, Planfix sits alongside Kite Union, an Australian software development company. That partnership is what lets us move from advisory into delivery without an integrator hunt - the senior advisor who scoped the work stays in the room when the engineers pick it up.
What ties it together is the brief we hold ourselves to: every recommendation has to make sense both technically and commercially. If the cheaper tool wins, we say so. If the project should be paused, we say so. The mandate isn't to grow the engagement - it's to leave the client in a better position than we found them.
GET IN TOUCH
Who we work with
Made for the businesses we serve.
Planfix engagements typically sit with one of these four audiences. The advisory and delivery model adapts to fit - different stage, different stack, different conversation.
Founders & SMBs
Owner-operators that need a senior IT voice in the room without hiring a CTO.
Operations leaders
COOs and operations managers tasked with modernising the stack that runs the business.
In-house IT teams
Internal teams that want a second pair of senior hands for an integration, migration or rollout.
Not-for-profits
Mission-driven organisations that need lean, well-chosen technology, not enterprise overkill.
Our Values
What we hold ourselves to.
Four operating principles that show up in every engagement.
Independence
No reseller margins, no kickbacks. The right tool for the job - even if it's not one we usually recommend.
Clarity
Clear, readable roadmaps and weekly status notes. No jargon shields, no surprises in month three.
Pragmatism
Architecture has to survive Monday morning. We design for the team and the budget you actually have.
Follow-through
A plan that gets written and shelved is a failed engagement. We stay involved until the work is in production.
